Day 24 – June 12, 2025 – Foiano, Italy

Walked into town first thing this morning and John started off with a slice of pizza at one of the local shops. We headed to the little café we’ve visited before and I had my usual cappuccino and a croissant; John had his espresso and some sort of fruit tart. We headed back to the BNB as we have nothing planned for the day. John has work to get caught up on and my goal is to work on the blog and try to get as caught up as I can. The internet speeds here are slow and it takes FOREVER for a picture to upload onto the blog site but John found a solution. I have to open each picture up, copy/paste in PowerPoint, then save it. What a difference for uploading to the blog site as it is instant. It is a pain as I have to add another step, but it does help get through things faster.

Spent some time in the pool before it was wine o’clock, lol! Dinner was roasted potatoes/carrots/onions, pan fried zucchini and some pork cutlets with rosemary. We ended the evening with a couple games of Rummikub and called it a night.

Tomorrow, we have a cellar tour/wine tasting in the town of Lucignano, which you can see from our villa. We plan to check out the town and see the sights there and hopefully find a place to eat dinner after our wine tasting/tour that starts at 4pm and lasts for about 1 ½ hours. Looking forward to checking out another of the local towns! Ciao!

One of the ducks decided to head to our area, lol!
The resident black cat, who is not friendly at all.
The black and white only tolerates us but won’t let us get too close, lol!
Wine o’clock and nibbles!
John helping out with the plant watering for Fiorella. Her and Lorenzo are gone for a couple of days so John waters the plants around the apartments.
