Day 31 – June 19, 2025 – Foiano, Italy
Catherine and Scott headed out about 9:30 this morning and we had a great time while they were here. Hoping they have a safe journey to Bologna as well as a safe flight to Greece.
We needed to get a few things from the Coop plus John needed to fill up Francesca as we will have to give her up today ☹ Someone else had already booked her for the last days of June so we will get Barbara’s other rental car, a Fiat Panda, and she calls it a “Cinderella pumpkin”, lol! It is a manual as Francesca was automatic, so it should be fun. John and I both know how to drive a manual, but I feel I drive one better than he does 😉 Francesca was very dirty and we managed to find an automatic car wash, so John felt better about not turning her in looking horrid.
Since being so full from the dinner the night before, lunch was a salad with some leftover chicken breast. The rest of the day was spent with John doing work and me getting caught up on the daily writings of the blog. I’m so far behind with pictures, but if I can keep up with the daily stuff, I feel like I’ve accomplished something. I did a huge load of laundry that took no time to dry as it’s hot here! John took a dip in the pool and then we had happy hour drinks.
Dinner was salmon with leftover roasted potatoes and green beans. I had a little piece of a tart for dessert and John grabbed a piece of chocolate. We played a few rounds of Rummikub then headed inside to read. It’s quiet again without other people around, lol!
A slow picture day and there is nothing on the agenda for tomorrow, so we will see what happens. Another wonderful day in Italy – ciao!
