Day 12 – Monday, March 10, 2025 – Bridgetown, Barbados

We met up with Scott and Catherine for breakfast at about 9 am and then John and I decided to take a walk and head in the opposite direction of the hotel to find an ATM. Scott and Catherine’s ride was not until 4 pm so we agreed to meet up with them a little later and hang out together.

The streets are very narrow in Barbados, so you must be aware of what is going on as the sidewalks are in poor condition in a lot of places. We did manage to find an ATM and then noticed across the street it looked like a boardwalk so walked on that heading back to the hotel. We found it was the Richard Haynes boardwalk, which is a mile long and connects Accra and Camelot beaches. Total, we walked about 3 miles, and I was ready to get out of the sun as it was getting hot!

We met up with Scott and Catherine about 1pm and sat out at the Tropical Bar just chatting and having one last drink together. After goodbyes, we headed back to the room and enjoyed sitting out on the balcony for awhile before cleaning up and heading back to the Tropical Bar for happy hour. We originally had planned to walk down the street to an Italian place for dinner, but the hotel was doing a big BBQ dinner, so we decided to stay and enjoy our last meal at the hotel. They brought a DJ in and some lady dancing with an exaggerated back end that was, for lack of better term, twerking her way around the customers. John and I decided to leave on that note and went back to the room to start packing.

We called it an early night knowing we would be leaving in the morning. It’s been a great trip and I’m ready to be home!

Surprise! The monkey showed up again!
Morning coffee on the balcony. The pool is right below us.
Part of the boardwalk we were on.
Our last sunset…..
LOL! Now that’s entertainment!
