Day 6 – Tuesday, March 4, 2025 – Tobago Cays, Grenadines
Happy 59th Birthday to John! We had an early morning so started off with a great breakfast and all of the gang had a catamaran/snorkeling excursion today. I’m not the greatest snorkeler and I was unable to find earplugs, so I did very little with my head under the water (it bothers my ears ☹). Where we were dropped off was rather rough and it was very windy, so I basically got in the water and then got out. Marguerite and I decided to take the tender back to the catamaran while the rest swam back to the boat. I know my limitations and today was not the day to test them. We went to another island where the water was much calmer and swam around for a while and enjoyed the beautiful blue waters and the sunshine.
Today the ship had a BBQ on one of the local beaches so after our excursion, the catamaran dropped us off to the beach where we enjoyed a smorgasbord of food/drinks and did more swimming around.
We caught the tender back to the ship, met at the bar for a drink and then cleaned up for dinner. Tonight was “white” night, so we all dressed in white and had our own little private table to celebrate John’s birthday. Lots of great food, great wine and wonderful friends!
After dinner they had a laser light show that showcased the sails going up. We all went up for an after-dinner drink and then called it an early night as our excursion tomorrow leaves at 8 am.
